Estando lejos de casa, atrapada en una isla desierta en medio del súbito confinamiento planetario, hablo a mi abuelo del otro lado frente al paisaje, antes y después de la misma noche en que murió. Carta filmada donde aparece un conejo.

Far away from home, trapped in a desertic volcanic island during the pandemic lockdown, I speak filming a letter to my grandpa at the other side, facing the landscape the day before and after the night when he died. Suddenly a rabbit appeared again.

Sinopsis larga/

Durante el súbito confinamiento planetario sin precedentes de la primavera del 2020, quedé atrapada por el cerramiento de fronteras en Lanzarote, una isla volcánica y árida en el océano Pacífico entre África y América. En esos días ante la muerte inminente de mi abuelo, solo podía mirar el horizonte del mar imaginando una conversación en voz alta con él del otro lado en Colombia. La cámara y el micrófono fueron la manera en que encontré cómo iniciar el duelo haciendo memoria frente el paisaje. De repente apareció otra vez un conejo.

When the subit pandemic lockdown happened in 2020 spring, I got trapped in a desertic volcanic island while the frontiers got closed. Lanzarote, between Africa and South America, surrounded by the sea, was far away from home. Those days, facing the inminent dead of my Grandpa, I only could stair at the sea imagining a conversation at loud with him in the other side of the horizon in Colombia. The camera and the mic where the only way I found to start the mourning and remember him through the landscape. Suddenly a rabbit appeared once again.
